The Year in Review
Posted by Leaf on December 30, 2010
I’m grateful I got to do everything that I got to do in 2010.
Took a trip to Florida to escape Snowmageddon
Traveled to NYC for a weekend of gluttony
Traveled to Europe for the first time
Revisited the vineyards in CA, and dined at French Laundry. What an experience!
Hosted friends for meals (it makes me feel grown up)
Paid off my student loans!! (What a relief. This was something I secretly wanted to do but didn’t share at the beginning of the year because I was afraid I couldn’t achieve it.)
Built a relationship with the wascally chinchillas (even if it’s based on raisin bribes, they like me)
Volunteered – it feels so rewarding, I think I’ll keep doing it.
Discovered some great restaurants in the DC area (after having lost hope for a while) – Willow, Rasika, Willard’s, Lyon Hall, Northside Social, Pupatella, Amina Thai come to mind.
And outside the DC area – French Laundry, Mamoun’s Falafel
If you’re ever in the Adams Morgan area, you should try Amsterdam falafel..I’ve heard great things about it!
I don’t go to DC much anymore but if I get the chance, I will definitely keep it in mind.
