The Year in Review

I’m grateful I got to do everything that I got to do in 2010.

  • Took a trip to Florida to escape Snowmageddon
  • Traveled to NYC for a weekend of gluttony
  • Traveled to Europe for the first time
  • Revisited the vineyards in CA, and dined at French Laundry.  What an experience!
  • Hosted friends for meals (it makes me feel grown up)
  • Paid off my student loans!!  (What a relief.  This was something I secretly wanted to do but didn’t share at the beginning of the year because I was afraid I couldn’t achieve it.)
  • Built a relationship with the wascally chinchillas (even if it’s based on raisin bribes, they like me)
  • Volunteered – it feels so rewarding, I think I’ll keep doing it.
  • Discovered some great restaurants in the DC area (after having lost hope for a while) – Willow, Rasika, Willard’s, Lyon Hall, Northside Social, Pupatella, Amina Thai come to mind.
  • And outside the DC area – French Laundry, Mamoun’s Falafel
    1. If you’re ever in the Adams Morgan area, you should try Amsterdam falafel..I’ve heard great things about it!

    2. I don’t go to DC much anymore but if I get the chance, I will definitely keep it in mind.
