Got water?

Thirsty

I keep forgetting I have water already and getting another glass. These are all sitting right at my desk. That’s probably how I spilled water on my keyboard the other day and broke it. I had to dig out my very old Packard Bell 486′s keyboard to replace it.

  1. hahaha i do that all the time.

  2. When you spill water on your keyboard, shut down your computer and dry out your keyboard before you use it.

But did the keyboard really break? Or are you just waiting for it to dry and using the old keyboard in the interim?

  3. Every keystroke made a beeping sound and didn’t type anything. This was after I’d let it dry out for a couple of days. I think it’s done for.

  4. hehe all signs point to new computer! :p

  5. invest in a membrane keyboard, you can throw them in the dishwasher

they usually end up being cheaper than mechanicals most of the time anyways

  6. Interesting. I’d never heard of it, but Dell sells them for $12! Are they harder to use though? They look hard to type on because of the rubbery softness of the keys.

  7. yeah, it feels sloppy typing on them

the keys dont bounce back or have that tactile feel you get when you use a mechanical kb
