Moooore???

Yup, more food, more quasi-recipes.

Mmm…mushy cereal. Hot mushy cereal really warms my belly when it’s cold out.

This looks kinda’ gross but it’s so delish and very easy to make.

  • Oatmeal
  • Ground flaxseeds
  • Chopped nuts
  • Fruit
  • Milk or water or both, or some form of fancy vegetarian milk (rice, soy, almond, oat)
  • Cinnamon
  • Yogurt (stir it in after it’s cooked so you’re not killing all the probiotics)
  • Sweetener if you like (brown sugar, maple syrup, pumpkin or apple butter, honey, HFCS, dehydrated cane juice crystals…)

You can cook it on the stove or if you’re like me and have no time in the morning, just nuke it for a few minutes. Grab a spoon and dig in! You can add/edit/delete whatever you like. That’s the beauty of it. Any of those ingredients are optional really. I mean, ok you need the cereal and liquids part of it, but anything beyond that is limited only by your imagination and willingness to ingest. Typically, I just have the oatmeal but you can try other rolled grains. Here are a few ideas to start: cinnamon raisins, apple cinnamon, brown sugar cinnamon, cinnamon cinnamon cinnamon… Say it three times real fast.
